Privacy Policy

ADC Focus Lab is a study application for the IC&RC Alcohol and Drug Counselor examination, published by The La Ziza Group LLC. This policy explains exactly what the app stores and how to remove it.

What we collect

Your study progress. Which concepts you have reviewed, your accuracy per study mode, confidence ratings, spaced-review schedule, session lengths, and exam simulation results.
Your app settings. Session size, visual mode, and motion preference.
Account identifiers, only if you create an account. An anonymous account identifier is created when you first open the app. If you choose to sign in with Apple, Google, or an email address, we also store that account identifier and email address so your progress can follow you to another device.

We do not collect what you might expect us to. No advertising identifiers, no analytics or tracking SDKs, no location, no contacts, no health records, and no information about any client, patient, or third party. Anything you type into a practice answer stays on your device and is never transmitted.

How it is used

Your progress is used solely to run the app for you: scheduling reviews, building your mastery map, and syncing between your devices. We do not sell, rent, or share your information, and we do not use it for advertising or to train models.

Where it is stored

Data is stored in Google Cloud Firestore under our Firebase project and is protected by security rules that allow only your own signed-in account to read or write your record. Sign-in is handled by Firebase Authentication. A copy is cached on your device so the app works offline.

Deleting your data

You can delete everything from inside the app: open the account button in the top bar, then choose Delete account and data. This permanently removes your study record and your sign-in. It cannot be undone. You may also email us and we will delete it for you.

Children

The app is intended for adults preparing for a professional credentialing examination. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Not clinical advice

ADC Focus Lab is an independent study aid. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to IC&RC, and it does not reproduce the examination. Its content does not constitute clinical, legal, or medical advice, and it does not replace current law, supervision, agency policy, or official source material.

Changes

If this policy changes materially we will update the date above and, for significant changes, note it in the app.
